Who says the only way you can study natural science is by looking up? On Geology Day, we learned to look at our feet instead, at the bedrock formations surrounding us on the summit of the Great Blue Hill.
First of all, we needed to learn about glaciers, and used our computer lab to watch a presentation that told us what to look for once we were outdoors.
Mrs. Birtwell taught us about the history of the Blue Hills and what had happened when the glaciers passed over them.
We also looked at samples of rocks and minerals right from this area.
